Day 1, 2, 3 Our representative will meet you at Johannesburg International, assist you with the formalities and ensure you have all your vouchers for onward travel. After your domestic flight to Hoedspruit, the game-rich eastern part of South Africa, you will be met by a representative from Garonga Safari Camp for the transfer to Garonga.
Arrive at Maun Airport, the 'Gateway to the Okavango Delta', on your Air Botswana flight from Johannesburg. This will be your rendezvous with the pilot who will whisk you off to Stanley's Camp, in an approximate flying time of 10 minutes.
On arrival at Stanley's Camp private airstrip, you will be met by your guide and transferred to the lodge in open 4x4 vehicles. The staff of Stanley's Camp will welcome you with cheerful, traditional songs.
Well, those who will be visiting Botswana's Okavango Delta in the next few months are in for a treat! Every year this magnificent wonderland gets inundated by flood waters originating from the highlands of Angola. The waters arrive at the top or "panhandle" of the Delta in about January and get to the "end" of the Delta in June or so.
