Cape Town Tours

The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town

Cape Town is one of the most popular destinations in South Africa, and in fact, the world. Extremely popular with visitors and locals, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is a vibrant, colourful complex featuring an amazing selection of restaurants, shops and hotels - right in the Cape Town harbour.

Key highlights are...

  • Fantastic beaches.
  • Honeymooners paradise
  • Victoria and Alfred Waterfront
  • Table Mountain
  • Robben Island Prison
  • Superb accommodation
  • Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
  • Township tours

Cape Town boasts some of the finest hotels and other accommodation in the country and excellent restaurants offer an array of delicious sea foods such as cape lobster, abalone, calamari, octopus, crab, oysters, mussels and snoek.

The iconic Table Mountain looks down over the city and one can enjoy a cable ride to the top or enjoy a stroll at its base, through the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. A must if your interests lie in the rich indigenous flora of South Africa.

A popular visit is the oldest surviving building in South Africa, the pentagonal Castle of Good Hope, which was built by the Dutch East India Company in the 1660’s.

The Cape Peninsula is stunning, with majestic mountains, wide sandy beaches and beautiful valleys, dotted with vineyards. Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve and Cape Point itself. The Cape floral kingdom contains more plant species than the whole of Europe. Referred to as "fynbos" (fine bush) some of the species include proteas and heathers.

The infamous Robben Island prison is now the site of a museum, and a visit can be easily arranged to this historically important site.

Guided tours of some of the “townships” can be arranged. Despite a difficult history, the township residents are incredibly hospitable and welcoming, making this a very worthwhile, "real world" excursion.
